Schools’ Day

Flying for Fun
is a celebration of light aircraft and the amateur builders and pilots who
fly just for their love of aviation and the freedom of the skies. The
event is the biggest in Europe, expected to attract up to 2,000 visiting
aircraft, including hundreds of home-built and vintage types. Throughout
the weekend, there will be demonstrations, forums, inter-active zones and,
of course, aircraft flying and on static display. The Schools’ Day
on
Friday offers schools a unique opportunity for a fascinating and an
enjoyable visit, with specially-arranged tours of the site and visiting
aircraft, as well as support and additional activities related to topics
from the National Curriculum. These
could include an introduction to:- lightweight
structures There
will also be some special activities for younger visitors including :- appreciation
of aircraft shapes |
